Lauren Watkins

“There’s an effortlessly smoky quality to Watkins’ voice, with a style of direct-yet-poetic songwriting reminiscent of Kacey Musgraves or Miranda Lambert.” -Billboard

“There’s the wit of Kacey’s wordplay, the eye-rolling sass of Miranda, the twang of Reba and the no-frills storytelling of Ashley McBryde. All those influences and many more have been combined into one enormous force of country music that has the potential to be even bigger than them all.” -Holler”Unique, original, and country as hell.” -Whiskey Riff

A Nashville native, Watkins has lived and breathed country music for as long as she can remember, spending her high school years playing honky tonksandholes-in-the-wall, and leading worship at her all-girls high school.

Just over two years ago, shedove into songwriting headfirst and quickly developed a pen as sharp as her wit. The tangible relatability other lyrics led to a publishing deal with Songs & Daughters and Big Loud Publishing. Compiling a catalog of unmatched originals, she’s Music Row’s newest in-demand up and comer, championed by songwriting mainstays like The Warren Brothers, Ashley Monroe, Jessie Jo Dillon, Natalie Hemby, Lauren Hungate, Shane McAnally, and Nicolle Galyon. Drawing inspiration from the sound and storytelling of indie country icons like Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow to genre pillars Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Chris Stapleton, the 23-year-old has a laid-backself-assuredness well beyond her years.
